Canon point & release date: Immediately post-Zaude. It's over a decade old at this point!

Powers (no more than 150 words): As a Child of the Full Moon, Estelle has the ability to interact directly with aer, allowing her to use magic without requiring a blastia. She can use a couple of light-element offensive spells, but is mainly focused on support and healing: she can buff her allies' abilities, create powerful defensive barriers, relieve status ailments like poison, and repair grievous wounds. It seems she can also alter local aer concentrations to make them either safer or deadlier, although she does not do this consciously. After her kidnapping, possibly due to a combination of trauma and Alexei's manipulations, she loses control of her powers; for a while, they completely overwhelm her free will, and even when she recovers, she is still unable to keep them contained without a control mechanism. Because of her ability, the control mechanism cannot be aer-based, and therefore currently uses her life force.
Personality
What is your character most afraid of? How are they defined by this fear? (100-300 words)
The fear which initially motivates Estelle is that of losing someone close to her—of knowing they're in danger and needing to act to help them, a feeling so strong it spurs her to escape not just the castle, but the capital city itself, for the first time in her life. These aspects eventually morph into a fear not of inaction, but of making the wrong decision or action, of doing more harm than good, and of being the cause of someone's pain. Although she doesn't want to die, she will still choose death over hurting her friends or endangering the world.
What is your character's greatest desire? How are they defined by this desire? (100-300 words)
Estelle wants to want. She wants friends, she wants a future, she wants the freedom to make choices, she wants to truly experience the world she was never allowed to learn about through anything but books. She wants to know who she is and who she wants to be. Her upbringing has made many of these desires difficult to express and act on, because she's held back by uncertainty and responsibility: she doesn't know what she should do, and even if she did, would she be allowed to choose, as an imperial princess? She has been kept sheltered and naive, raised as a puppet of the council, but this drive to understand herself motivates her to avoid the succession crisis and keep travelling with her friends.
How will not having memories change your character? What core personality traits, if any, will change? How? (200-300 words)
By not having memories, Estelle will maintain one of her major desires: to discover who she is. Without her identity as princess hanging over her, however, she will have more freedom to make her own choices and decide who she wants to be, as she gradually learns and experiences more. She will have concerns over whether or not she was a good person, because she'll recall escaping the castle and breaking into Aspio. She'll retain the almost-instinctual good manners she's been raised with, although she may start to wonder why they were drilled so deeply into her in the first place. Maybe someone will teach her it's fine to swear one day, who knows?? She will also retain a desire to help those in trouble; it will just no longer carry the baggage she feels as her royal duty. She's still a kind and gentle person who has no desire to hurt people, and she may be able to act more freely, doing what she feels is necessary without her decisions always being scrutinized as both a noble and member of the imperial family.
